What we handle
- New deck builds — pressure-treated, cedar and composite
- Covered patios and shade structures
- Patio slabs, pavers and flagstone
- Stairs, railing and privacy screens
- Board replacement and deck resurfacing over a sound frame
- Rebuilds where the framing or footings have failed
- Sanding, sealing and staining
- Rot and fastener repair before it spreads
How it works
- 01Walk the space
We look at the ground, the drainage and the attachment point at the house. What a deck sits on decides how long it lasts.
- 02Written scope and estimate
Materials, footings, framing and finish, written down. You will know what you are getting rather than what the photo looked like.
- 03HOA and permits first
Most Leander and Cedar Park HOAs want a submittal for anything structural outdoors, and some builds need a permit. We tell you which applies before work starts, not after a letter arrives.
- 04Build and finish
Framing, decking, rail and stairs, then the site cleaned. Offcuts and old material hauled away.
Questions we get asked
How much does a deck cost to build in Leander TX?
Size, height off the ground, and material drive most of it — a ground-level pressure-treated deck and an elevated composite deck with railing are different jobs at different prices. We quote in writing after seeing the space.
Composite or wood?
Composite costs more up front and almost nothing to maintain, which suits a west-facing deck that bakes all afternoon. Wood is cheaper and looks better to a lot of people, and it needs sealing. Neither is the right answer for everyone.
Do I need HOA approval for a deck?
In most Leander and Cedar Park neighbourhoods, yes, for anything structural. It is usually straightforward, and far easier before the build than after. We will tell you what your HOA typically asks for.
Can you repair a deck instead of replacing it?
Often, and it is worth asking. If the frame and footings are sound, resurfacing is a fraction of a rebuild. If the structure is going, replacing boards on top of it is money spent twice — we will say which one you have.
How long does a deck take?
A straightforward build is usually several days once materials are on site. Covers, stairs and anything needing footings to cure take longer. The schedule is in the estimate.
