Flooring Installation & Repair in Leander, TX

Most flooring complaints are not about the flooring. They are about what was underneath it and nobody looked: a subfloor that was never levelled, a transition cut short, a bathroom where the tile was laid over a soft spot. We check the floor before we quote the floor, and we tell you what we find even when it makes the job bigger than you hoped.

What we handle

  • Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and luxury vinyl tile
  • Tile — floors, showers, backsplash, and wet areas
  • Laminate and engineered wood
  • Hardwood installation and board replacement
  • Subfloor repair and levelling before new flooring goes down
  • Transitions, thresholds, stair nosing and trim
  • Tear-out and haul-away of the old floor
  • Baseboard removal and reinstallation, or new base to finish the room

How it works

  1. 01
    Measure and look underneath

We measure the rooms and check what is under the existing floor. A soft subfloor or an uneven slab changes the job, and it is cheaper to know now.

  2. 02
    Written estimate

Material and labour in writing, including the tear-out, the transitions and the trim — the parts that usually turn up as an extra later.

  3. 03
    Prep, then install

Levelling and subfloor repair first. Flooring laid over a bad substrate fails, and it fails as your problem rather than the floor's.

  4. 04
    Trim and finish

Transitions, base and thresholds done properly, and the room cleaned and put back.

Questions we get asked

How much does flooring installation cost in Leander TX?

It depends on the material, the square footage, and what is under the old floor. LVP over a flat, sound subfloor is at the cheaper end; tile in a wet area, or anything needing the slab levelled, costs more. You get the number in writing before anything starts.

Can you install flooring over my existing floor?

Sometimes, and often it is a bad idea. Going over tile or an old floating floor raises the height at every door and transition and hides whatever is failing underneath. We will tell you honestly whether it is reasonable in your case.

Do you move the furniture?

Yes, for normal household furniture. Pianos, safes, and anything that needs disassembly we talk about beforehand so it is in the estimate rather than a surprise on the day.

What about the baseboards?

We can pull and reinstall existing base, or install new. Old base often does not survive removal intact, so we say up front which way we expect it to go.

How long does a floor take?

A single room is usually a day. A whole house is several, and tile takes longer than plank because of the set and cure time. The estimate gives you the schedule, not just the price.
